Soon, Tom discovers there are even greater surprises in Perim, the world outside Chaotic. As he reels from the reality of his "split personality" created by Chaotic technology, he struggles to survive his shocking "ScanQuest" in Perim while he races to recover his discarded scanner back on Earth.
